    Garnett vs. Kobe

Ok, here's the deal. You have an expansion team and you have NO players on your roster. You have the first pick of the draft and the two best players in the draft are two twenty year olds. There names are Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant. Who do you pick to build your team around?

Who would I pick to build around? Generally go with the big two way player but Kobe's longevity makes me think he may be the better bet. He's higher on my all time list though. Kudos Jason on making this thread most people would ***** out and be too afraid to have their opinion proven wrong by the masses you're at least trying to back your statements.

    Garnett's had all-star caliber guards/wings - Cassell/Marbury/Spree/Wally/etc. and never did anything.

Anytime Kobe had one top big he won multiple chips. Even when he had NO help he led the Lakers to the playoffs and 45 wins.

You put Wally on the same level and Shaq Gasol bynum and Howard? And Marbury? And an aged Spree? Please. Marbury, Wally and Spee (at least when he was with Garnett) played at nowhere near the level of Shaq, Gasol, Bynum and Howard. And Cassell only made one All-Star game.

And lets not forget, that even with Gasol, Kobe dropped the ball in 08, and failed, even with Bynum and Gasol, to get to the finals in 2012 and 2011.

And Kobe missed the playoffs after Shaq left. Might want to check the fact there friend.

Cassell and Spree were past their primes, Marbury let way too early, Wally... well come on. Kobe has played with a Prime Shaq, a Prime Gasol, Odom, an ever improving Bynum, and now has Prime Dwight on his team. You cant compare supporting casts, because its no competition. Kobe has had great teammates his entire career.

As for the question, give me KG. Dominates both sides of the ball. Would have won multiple rings in Minny if he had any help

Even with Paul, Rondo, and Allen, KG dropped the ball the following year.
    I'm a Lakers fan...BUT:

    1) No I don't think Kobe > MJ

    2) No I don't think LeBron sucks.

    3) No I don't think it's funny to continuously make jokes about Charles Osborne.

    Yeaaahhhhh naaaaaaa

When those players played with KG he made them better than they were. Spree was overrated as hell and rightfully never made the ASG while playing with KG well because quite frankly he wasn't on that level, Marbury wasn't all star calibre in his time with KG they barely played two years together in the EARLY part of KGs career. Wally c'mon really Wally? Cassell was nice but an aged played who really gave all he got and had one really good season? You need much more than that to win a title.

How about coaching? Bench? etc. If we apply more context to this argument I see no legit reasoning behind it. Kobe's cast was better hands down without a doubt.
