    Question about insults.

Does calling someone a "goofball" constitute as an insult? If so, what are the proper punishments for a user with no infractions/bans, who calls someone a goofball?

If someone could close this thread when I get a clear answer it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm sorry. I made an egregious error in referring to another member as a goofball. I understand how offensive that term is, and I'm sincerely sorry, I have disgraced my family

Both guys were joking the goofball comment, at least the way I saw it. Once the ***** comment was made then deleting was needed.

Usually a clean record like that requires a warning at first. If it continues to escalate then infractions are handed out, followed by bans.

This is entirely my fault, and I accept whatever reprimand PSD chooses to bestow upon me. I clearly ****ed up, I used one of the most offensive terms in the English language and I cannot begin to express my indemnification. I bow to the PSD elders and request mercy.

It depends on the situation and tone that was used when calling someone a goofball. If it was a joke and both sides recognize it, nothing will be done. Lets say the worst case scenario where it was said in an intense manner and this is the first time the user violated the rules, the user could be faced with a warning or an infraction, again depending on the situation. I would need to look at the post.

My four-year old calls me a "goofball" all of the time. If she called me a "jerk" or "moron" she would be in trouble.

"Goofball" is, pretty much, as tame as it gets IMO.
