The Grizzles preferred the pacers offer, typically to get a trade you have to make an offer better then the other teams. Ill make this simple for you (what the Griz preferred). Taj & Brewer > Mcroberts and 1st > Brewer and 1st. Did that make it easier?

The bulls' offer easily beat the pacer's for OJ Mayo years ago. The owner of the Grizzlies went out of his way to accept a worse deal from Indiana. The Pacers were offering McRoberts & their pick. The Bulls were offering I believe one of Kyle Korver or Ronnie Brewer and CJ Watson. Which would you rather have? The Memphis FO said in order for them to deal we'd have to send either Gibson or Asik, which obviously was well above market value if they were content in taking McBob and a low/mid 20s pick.

You never mentioned 4 first round draft picks. If you are a team looking for a big which trade offer was better?

Yes the trade we wouldn't do was much more valuable then the Pacers offer. But I would still trade Taj Brewer and a pick for Mayo.

Glad you aren't a GM... Because why would you overpay tremendously when the market was lower? When the owner doesn't want to deal with the Bulls there's nothing you can do... You are making absolutely no sense

Sweet, I still trade Taj Brewer and a pick for Mayo. Why wouldn't you? Brewer wouldn't play much with Rip and Mayo on the team. Rip would play a lot less minutes and could probably stay healthy. I understand we draft well but trading a late 1st isn't going to hurt you. So the trade basically becomes Taj and a late 1st for Mayo.

That's what those draft picks were, we lose out on them if we make the trade, again, why overpay when you don't have to?
