    Drops

Sig Stat Snapshot: Dropped Passes per QB

Yeah, we´re Top 5 in every categorie. Oh wait, that´s a bad thing.

I don´t know why they´ve been dropping so many passes.

    Drops

Coaching? I don't have a good answer for the drops. I read awhile back somewhere how the Packers have the most former players as coaches of any team in the league, ever since I read that I have had this internal debate going on whether that's a good or bad thing...

Most of them seem to come when a player doesn't look the ball into his hands and tries to look for a place to run.

This is not for argument base but purely factual, does anyone know how many drops we had on average when Favre was QB?

Also keep in mind we have a former RB coaching our WR's. Don't get me wrong, he's an awesome coach, but he might not be one to have the most WR expertise.

Our WR coach went to DAL right?

Dal is 26th in drop percentage.

Doesn't seem like the coaching. We were high with him.

I'm down at the rec center watchin' folks swim.

You don't need PFF to see drops. At least not like the top 40 guys or so

Yes, Jermicheal has dropped a lot of balls, but he's not the only one. Jordy has a fair amount of drops this year. Cobb has a few. Driver has dropped a couple. Our other TEs and RBs have dropped a few. What I really think is a big part of it is the emphasis on yards after the catch. That's somewhat coaching and that's partially the pride of our WRs who used to brag about their YAC averages. I'm not saying its bad or anything, but when you put a big emphasis on YAC, you'll have a natural tendency to look up a hair sooner than other guys do.
