Who is the most underappreciated NBA star of the last 15 years?

Who do you think is the most underrated star of the last 15 years? There are a lot of solid role-players and starters even that are grossly underappreciated, but what about the stars? I was thinking today that Dirk is a little underappreciated. He lead the Mavs to 11-straight 50+ win season, always kept them in contention, got them to the finals twice and wona chip, yet he always takes a back burner to Garnett and Ducan when talking about his position, and though he wasn't as good a rebounder as either of them, or as good a defender, there is a lot to be said about his offensive game and how he has been a rock for the Mavs to beuild around. And he even got them 60-win season when Don Nelson was coaching them! That is a miracle in my book.

Ray Allen is another guy that is underapprciated. He took a very week Bucks team to the conference finals (though it was a weak east that season), and got the Sonics into the second round. And Pierce likewise got the Celtics to the conference finals with a weak roster.

And of coruse Duncan is generally underappreciated despite the fact he's elad his team to 4 titles and umteen straight season with 50 or more wins.

Who do you think is the most underappreciated star of the last 15 years?

You mean OTHER than Tim Duncan right? I'd say Steve Nash.

VINCE!!! Gets so much hate for ONE blip of his career! Dudes brought so much to this league. And he's a geniuine person who actually went to college. The league rides immatue high schooler d bags instead!

anyway TIM DUNCAN easily. The media should ride his dick. Ray isnt underappreciated he gets way too much attention all the time it gets old.

Dirk definently. I've never witnessed anything like Dirk did in the FINALS against the powerhouse Heat since a guy named Jordan. He DOMINATED that entire playoff run just hitting shot after shot. It was incredible. Any other big name does that and were still hearing about it.

how are we not still hearing about Dirks incredible run?

Immediately had Ray Allen, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, and every Spurs star come to mind.

Jason Collins claims he is the first openly gay NBA player despite the fact we witnessed the entire league bend the Lakers over all season.
