this makes no sense at all...clyde gates has stepped up for us and I know hill will get going again...allan i really like as a potential player the guy is a hard hitter and can rush the qb actuallly get some pressure

Allen CAN NOT cover, and the one thing the Jets have an abundance of is SS.
The Jets practically start 2 SS now and they have a 3rd Eric Smith on the bench.
This was just a numbers move, and hopefully Allen will end up on the PS, learn the position, how to cover, and be a contributing member of the defense in the near future.
Other of you Jets fans need to get off the team's sack, and not criticize every minor move the team makes, it's not like the Jets aren't going to the SB because Antonio Allen isn't starting.

Could somebody fill me in on Clyde Gates? I haven't seen him play to offer any opinion on him whatsoever. Has he stepped up in games for us with Holmes out for the year?

He was our leading receiver against Miami but hes nothing more than a speed guy, I wouldn't risk losing allen for hill it doesnt make sense. Originally Posted by Crom-Viscera
