The Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization have informed Major League Baseball that they have accepted the highest bid for the negotiating rights to 25-year-old left-handed pitcher Ryu Hyun-Jin, it was announced this morning. The highest bid in the posting process was submitted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers now have a period of 30 consecutive days to sign Ryu to a Major or Minor League professional contract.

every blind bid will cause asian teams to shat themselves from here on out. Matz was 50 mil, darvish was 51 mil, this ho hum average guy was 24 mil. I don't expect it to come down to sane levels, ever. Which means don't expect the Cubs to ever win one of them.
