In a game I think many expected the Bobcats to lose against the Chicago Bulls, they actually caem away with a win to end their 18-game skid. The Spurs decimated the Nets in San Antonio, and Pop brought bench in to finish up the game early as none of the starters even cracked 26 minutes! The needed an overtime period to do it, but the Heat beat the Magic by a basket. LBJ of course had a near triple-double and lead all-scorers last night with 36 points, but the story of the night was perhaps Vucevic’s 29-rebound performance, an accomplishment that has only been done twenty times since the 85/86 season (Love and Bynum are the only other active players to have done this). OKC beat the Suns behind Durant’s game-high 30 points (Westrbook left the game with small injury). Memphis fell to the Pacers, and the Hawks fell to the Rockets; James Harden scored a game high 28 points.
I think the poll is a formality here… Vucevic clearly had the best line of the night. No player, since 1985, has recorded as many rebounds, while also recording 3 steals and 2 blocks and 2 assists and 20 points.
And technically, I think it counts as a triple double, because he got double-digits in points, offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds: 20, 11 and 18 respectively.
