That's about it - there has been some discussion about Napoli for a reason. The Dodgers are not going after him and we don't want/need him.

There are plenty of fans that want possibly the best offensive catcher in MLB.

Hamilton is an interesting idea.... Kemp, Hamilton, Gonzo, Ethier, Hanram would be murderers row!!

We have no room for him though.

The rest of us realize that the extra 5-7 home runs are not worth the loss of pitcher / catcher chemistry. That equates to wins, period.

We don't need to blow money on Napoli, Ellis gets on base at a higher clip anyways and knows the staff

I don't see why you guys would want Napoli. Ellis is likely the better option regardless, and he is better defensively.

Napoli doesn't make a lot of sense unless he is rather cheap and doesn't mind sitting on the bench a good amount.

we are not going to get napoli. he'd be an upgrade but not enough of one to justify the money. I want kuroda and anibal (i think angels will get greinke)

I seriously doubt it. My guess is that the hope for Ryu is that he will be a good #3 in our rotation. It's clear we need a solid # 2.
