Andrew Bogut continues to work his way back from offseason ankle surgery.

"Well, over the last five days, I've had some Regenokine, which is an injection basically of my own blood," said Bogut. "They take out my blood, they spin it, and they put it back into my ankle. So hopefully that can solve the swelling issues that I'm having and subside some of the pain. Hopefully by the weekend I can start some light jogging again and work it back up, and see how we go."

Bogut hasn't played since Nov. 7.

"It was a microfracture surgery, which is something that most players take 12 months to get over. I'm not saying it's gonna take me 12 months, but ... just because someone says you're out six months, it doesn't mean that in six months and one day you're ready to go full speed in the NBA. That's just not realistic. Hopefully another week or two and I can be back out there and not have any more hiccups for the rest of the season, but at the same time, if I'm not ready in a week or two, we're going to have to re-evaluate again."

well most experts said that if bogut polayed less than 70 games this year, we dont have a chance at the playoffs. Obviously thats not a fact- but you really dont want to push it. I mean if you miss the playoffs by 2 games and bogut only plays 55 games... you dont want to think back and say I wonder what would have happened if bogut played 10 or 12 more games.


I want him to get to 100% too, but there really isnt any way that he can play himself back into shape?... seems like other players have done it in history. for 13 million a year... isnt it worth a try?

well lets get something clear... it seems to get a little confusing depending on who is reporting on this.

What is the real reason bogut isnt playing right now?

A) Is he in too much pain that he cant stand playing?

B) Is he frusterated with the minute restriction?

C) Is he afraid of re-injuring it because it hasnt 100% healed yet?

D) Does he want to get into better shape so he can help the team more?


When Bogut was talking about it- it really sounded like it was D. As more and more time goes by- different writers seem to be all over the place as to why he isnt out there. Has his situation gotten worse since he originally decided to sit out for 7-10 days? Or is Bogut himself lieing about whats going on? Or are different writers trying to sell different stories and they think they actually know more about why bogut has decided on sitting out than bogut himself?
