I agree that Avery got out coached. He is not the right coach for this team but our struggles do not fall on his shoulders alone. He is a defensive coach with an offensive roster and his offensive plays are horrible.

When a talented team loses a 22pt lead to a fringe playoff team without it's top 2 players.. it's on the players.

First of all Avery cannot make Lopez grow balls and make him not get bullied into horrible shots and make him faster and smarter to play better D. He cannot force Humphries to become smarter and make him not get the ball ripped off his hands by guards. He cannot force our 100 million $ player to play like a top 5 pg that fans claim he is and make him penetrate and playmake and not take dumb 3pt shots.

Our defense is just atrocious and Avery has no players on the roster outside maybe Wallace and Bogans that can play great defense. Johnson is ok and Deron is barely average if that. NONE of our bigs are good. All our bigs suck defensively.

62 points in the paint to a team missing it's top 2 players does not fall on the coach.

Sig bet with FriedTofuz or whatever his name is (I'm on my phone so it's too tedious to go find his exact name) that if the Nets lose to the Raptors I will delete my account and if the Raptors lose he will delete his (lol Raptors fans are so cute).

If we get 65+ games a year from Wallace, then it's a fantastic deal. But I just don't see that happening. I LOVE Crash, probably my favorite Net, but we overpaid.

Ok guys yesterday I wanted to vent against the Nets players for blowing that 22 point lead. Today I've gotten over that loss somewhat and I'm looking to vent about some of the fans on this site. You guys need to relax with the pessimism. It's two games into the season there's still a lot of basketball to be played. This team is loaded with talent and has a chance to do some damage this year. I know yesterdays game was rough and honestly we had no business blowing that lead, but I've seen some good things from this team in the first two games. I wish we weren't playing the Heat tomorrow because thats not really a winnable game for this team with their confidence shot. But this team is going to be winning games maybe not yesterday maybe not tomorrow but the wins will come.

I really do not dude. That is the worst part. He is my favorite Net outside of Wallace. I love Lopez. I met him and he is the goofiest nicest NBA player i have ever met.

I hate his physical limitations. I hate his lack of basketball iq on the court and his terrible defensive instincts. I hate how soft he is on the court.

I wish nothing more than to be proved wrong about him and have him improve defensively.

Also is kinda bothering me that on the main page you still have to click on new jersey nets to get to this forum. Every time I look for Brooklyn but its alway under NJ.

I think Billy King is just watching what's gonna happen to his team. If the Nets don't realize Prokhorov's vision by the summer of 2014 (that is at least a Finals appearance or a conference finals), heads are definitely gonna roll.

I doubt it takes that long. If they wait that long they will have missed their opportunity. Or guys are in their prime and some are already on the decline (Johnson, Wallace).

They simply cannot wait that long. If by the all star break this season the team is still bottom of the league defensively, they need to ship out the problems and find fixes.

Lopez and Humphries being the main culprits

Perhaps. He's gonna have to do some major GMing to get a good deal however. I know it's way too early but Lopez has gotta show his offensive weapons. That is his soft touch and his mid range jumper. He's not strong enough to score 20ppg only from the post. I remember the Toronto game two seasons ago when this guy dribbled from half court and dunked. During his rookie year he was being compared to Tim Duncan because he had the same fundamental style offensive game(nobody was looking at his defense then, and he was rebounding 8 p/g, next to Yi Jianlian of course). I can overlook his defensive weaknesses only if he improves upon or at least delivers what is expected of him on his offense.

Hump is allright but not a starter or even the 1st big man off the bench for an elite team. Hope he proves me wrong.
