    Players: Dickey top pitcher

Fellow players voted R.A. Dickey the NL's top pitcher in the Players Choice awards.

Gio Gonzalez and Johnny Cueto were the other finalists.

The Cy Young Award will be announced Nov. 14.

Dickey led the league in strikeouts (230), innings (233 2/3), complete games (five) and shutouts (three) while notching 20 wins.

Well considering Wright got screwed out of his rightfully deserved GG, my confidence level has sunk when it comes to Dickey winning the Cy Young.

lol Kershaw isn't a finalist? if that's the case Dickey has this in the bag, and even more trade value.

It'll be a shame if Dickey doesn't win the CY.

Given his character I think the recognition by his peers is a far greater reward than the Cy Young would be to Dickey, though it would still be a pretty sweet feather in the cap..

Even in a story about receiving an award for his pitching excellence, he still manages to spend more time speaking about others than himself.

    The Bishop is Proud.
"Mr. Martin Tanner, Baritone, of Dayton, Ohio made his Town Hall debut last night. He came well prepared, but unfortunately his presentation was not up to contemporary professional standards. His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."
