Ben could in theory be up for MVP, but as always, he will get lost in the talk.

No chance with Rodgers, Peyton or Brady playing solid or better. Ben should be in the conversation but he never will be.

Last year followed Ike Taylor's amazing season (Believe it or not, there were more games than the playoffs in Denver) This year, it's two at once with the...

    Ben Roethlisberger Watch

So long as he keeps winning games I don't care. Another ring or three should shut up a few of his critics.

At 5-3, I don't think he's in the conversation yet. Matt Ryan has been making noise in what has been a very solid year thus far. If the Falcons continue their amazing run, I'm not sure anyone else could challenge Ryan for that award. Roethlisberger has been in top form, though, and if that continues, I think he'll be in the discussion. Either way, I'm not too worried about it. Steelers fans appreciate him and we can point to his elite stats when the haters come around.

Reasons I hear why Ben isn't an MVP candidate (most my friends aren't Steelers fans):

He's got a great run game supporting him!
Wouldn't you look good with a defense like that?
His receivers are Hall of Fame worthy!
Steelers Suck! (one of my favorites)
    He should be in jail!
What's he going to do, rape that?
He's not likeable, that's why. (My personal favorite)

So take your pick, that's why there's no respect. Ben is the Rodney Dangerfield of QB's. If you saw that stats and no one put a name you think he's great. As soon as you see the name there's a notable letdown.

I'd give up MVP for Super Bowl MVP any day.
