Kenyon Martin upset he can't get a job-Willing to take minimum

The NBA season is nearly a week old, and Kenyon Martin doesn't know why he still can't find a job in the league. He helped the Los Angeles Clippers during their playoff run last season. His knee issues of the past no longer seem to trouble him. And he's even willing to take a contract for the league minimum.

We should be all over this... Solves so many issues with our 2nd unit of bigs that are soft. Play him with Tiago and I think it helps a great deal.

Unless he is unwilling to come here, he should already be a Spur.

Pretty much. Wouldn't surprise me, but Jack does give us street cred like Timmy said

At this point I would take Martin with arms wide opened. He'd be a perfect mix four who can be better than anything Blair can do. He can hit a shot and play next to TimmyD all day as well.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!! I've been wanting him for a while on this team. He adds the physicality we need. The true toughness on defense. I would love KMart on the Spurs!!

Maybe Blair's showing against Indy will intrigue a taker. However, I think the spurs need to settle for a second. I would say a couple of seconds this next year but that may be a stretch.

However, I still believe that if Martin isn't here then the staff believes that he doesn't fit. And if Pop doesn't think Martin fits then he won't get the PT he thinks he deserves. And if he doesn't get the PT then he will be an attitude problem and if people thought Blair was an attitude problem then wait till you see KMart. So I don't want to hear anyone complain about Blairs attitude and then turn around and beg for Martin.

Anything new on Martin coming here? This would be a perfect match for our bench.

^ here's the latest. "Surprise surprise"

For what it's worth, a source said during Monday's game that Heat have moved to top of Kenyon Martin's wish list.
Now just cause he's on their wishlist doesn't mean they pick him up. But no surpsise.

There has to be a reason Teams aren't going after K-Mart, and it seems his attitude might be a big reason.

The Celtics are going to be patient filling their roster because there is not a plethora of quality big men on the market to help immediately with rebounding. They are wary of the attitude and disposition of Kenyon Martin, who was not asked back to the Clippers because of his unhappiness with coach Vinny Del Negro. They may wait to see who’s available as of Jan. 5, when contracts become fully guaranteed for the season. Boston Globe

This is why I found it so funny that some people were whining about Blair's attitude but wanted to bring in KMart.

I loved him on The Nets. If one coach get the most of him, it's Pop. It would be nice to have another strong post-defender out there.

I remember when he once took prime Antoines Walkers lunch...he just completely eclipsed him. Impressive defender in his prime.

Better than Bonner, I'd still say sign me up on that. Better than Blair as well.
