Well, the Pistons will be picking in the top 5, so it's pointless to discuss giving away a 6-10 pick for Gay/Gordon.

The Darko draft yielded what, 5 superstars out of the first 6 picks? Not really the example you want to use. Although I will admit that is simply the GOAT draft class.

By the time we are ready to compete Gay would be on the downside of his career. If Gordon's health was guaranteed and he was guaranteed to compete with maximum effort I would give up a 3-5 pick for him (not top 2, id rather have shabazz)

There's noway you can guarantee me that though.

And guys, if we draft someone and they bust, cool, we get another top 5 pick the year after. You see how that works?

If we're talking about a 100% healthy Eric Gordon, I'd absolutely trade top picks for him, and yes that means even #1. The health issue is the key, whether it's real or he's faking, if he plays 80 games a year he'll be an absolute monster.

Didn't get to watch the game, but 15 points on ten shots, a few assists and a rebound or two isn't bad coming off the bench in the slower paced (35 sec shot clock) and more physical college ball.

like you said you didnt see the game,he looked like **** I didnt watch the end so maybe he stepped it up at the end or something.He mostly just looked a little slow with theyre system so hell step it up in a few games im sure.

Yeah, let's just keep losing and gain more top 5 picks. That sounds like a winning plan, eventually we will get it right. Proven players aren't as good as a rookie with great potential, right. I do however agree with you about Gordon, I think Gay could be a great pick up though. He will be around 29 when our team starts to come in to their own, that gives Gay around 3-4 more good seasons. I think if the price is right, it would be a good move.

-We get a bit younger(but better in the long run).
-Possibly 1st rd draft pick(keeping ours).
-Money to extend Monroe(maybe 10 mil$ per?).
- $ to cover Gay's contract(for 2 more yrs).
-Have around 18-20 million to spend(or save part).
-We would have our go to scorers on the wing(Gay/Singler).
-Our starting lineup would possibly all be under 27 next season(a plus in my eyes).

Here is what I think in all this:

Trade Tayshaun near the trade deadline to a contender gives us 7+ million
Maggette goes away end of the season gives us 10+ million
Amnesty Villanueva gives us another 8+ milion

Total available $25 million to spend next year.

Drummond and Monroe will be great together side by side. Singler could be a decent SG.
Need to go buy a PG and get what we can in the draft and we will not look half bad.

He will be one that a follow throughout the year. I think we could get him around #5-#8. He is a MKG lite with better shooting.
