The bigger problem is Ponder is exactly what his scouting report stated. When you combine that w/ subpar WR talent and a terrible offensive coordinator you have an offense that sputters at times. The fact that the gameplan changed directly after the first Viking drive that actually resulted in points is just ridiculous. YOu keep doing something until they prove they can stop it. The Vikings shouldve ran Tim Tebow plays all game period.

Yes, Yes we could have but it's hard telling if he would succeed in our offense. That coach over there sure knows his ****. I have a feeling that Harbaugh could make Webb look like a 3rd string QB...that's how good he is

Yea he did but if Troy could of just caught a ball like he did in college he would of been awesome and James was a good player for us but not a pro-bowl type of guy.

For the Record I am back on the Ponder Bandwagon for next season. I predicted this season that he would have 8 games that made us want him as our future, 4 that were bland and average, and then 4 where we were screaming at the TV to put Webb in...I believe I was close in those predictions roughly. If he get 2 new starting Guards and a No 1 WR to go with Harvin, I believe the sky is the limit for him. He needs more time.

Christian Ponder - QB - Vikings
    Feb 13 - 4:21 PM

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Christian Ponder will not face competition for his starting job in 2013 camp.

Mortensen recently spoke to Frazier, who said Ponder is locked in for 2013. "Leslie Frazier said, 'Go look at his games in December,'" Mort relayed. "There were a couple of games in December where they saw the Christian Ponder they drafted. ... They really believe Ponder will continue to get better. He is the starter going into the season. They expect nothing to change that. No competition." The Vikings will try to upgrade on backup Joe Webb, but it now seems doubtful that they'd seriously pursue Matt Moore, who is free agency's top quarterback.

Obviously John Sullivan, and Rudolph, but look at the pic, hahaha.

It always bugs me when people say 'oh we could have drafted Rogers TWICE'...... You guys do realize we had daunte culpepper as our QB who just came off an MVP season (minus manning).

Christian Ponder - QB - Vikings
ESPN's Kevin Seifert says Christian Ponder's starting job will only be vulnerable if he "regresses or otherwise struggles" early this season.
Seifert is a former Vikings beat writer. Contrary to some earlier speculation, free agent Matt Cassel was not brought in for a training camp battle. Instead, he'll work behind Ponder and be at the ready. If Cassel turns out to be a better option in 2013, the Vikings are going to be in even more trouble than they already are.
