Duda vs. F-Mart.
I think the 130 PA are telling though.
The question who would you rather have right now as a possible RF going forward. Not that any of the 2 has had a great year by any means, but one guys is 24 and the other 27.
Which brings me to the point that leaving him unprotected was a mistake give all the issues this team has had with outfielders.
Player B
There are no men like me, only me.
Yes F-Mart still has a lot of power and potential, but I'll be upset when he actually stays on the field for a whole season and is productive. IMO, they essentially chose Havens and Lutz over him. Can't say that has worked out well so far. But we'll see.
They kept Churrasco on the 40 man roster and Batista over him, again an example of bad roster management. Yeah we know all the issues with Martinez inability to stay healthy, but to keep bums like those 2 over a 23 y/o kid with some upside was pretty brutal.

Now the Zen master says, "We'll see."
The only 2 guys that had a higher OPS+ than Martinez on the Mets were Baxter and Hairston.
At the time imo it was not, especially since Baxter was a guy that I thought could get by waivers.
Before the year I would of taken Martinez over Baxter.
I think now is a toss up, Baxter has shown to be a little valuable as a back up 4th outfielder, but Martinez still has better upside.
