Obama would like a group to buy the 'Skins, then converts RGIII to a slot WR.

Maybe Payton can now recoup some money for this season. I know I'd want to.

Feel like his contract will get a bump from experiencing how much he means to the team (apparent this season)

Yea and didnt he have to forfeit his entire salary for this season so maybe he wants at least half of that back into his new deal. Fair? Idk.

    What is this Sh..........

Im kinda late to this, is he under contract for this current season? Or is he a free agent now? If he is a free agent now would that mean he would still have to serve a suspension as a head coach? Or is he just suspended from the NFL for a year

he's still suspended and will be a free agent after the season....however Saints can negotiate something with his agent. so i'd look for the saints to try to lock this up ASAP

I love Sean Payton and really hope he remains the coach of the Saints for a very long time. But this worries me a lot for a couple reasons.

Dallas has underachieved for a very long time, I could see Dallas going with a different coach even if Sean Payton is off the market.

Sean Payton's family lives in Dallas, regardless of how much sense it makes professionally to stay with the Saints, there is something to be said for how much family factors in to this decision.

Sean Payton has proved everything he could as a coach by taking the Saints from where they were post Katrina to a Super Bowl, this break provides a great opportunity to start again fresh.

Jerry Jones has a lot of money and can easily pay Sean Payton more than anyone else would.

That being said I fully expect Sean Payton back, however if a deal isnt done before the season is over I will be very worried.
