After a few years away from the gym, I've decided to get back in shape for my health. Just joined one of these dead serious type gyms with a nutritionist/trainer to get me back on track.

At age 59, I'm determined to continue playing competitive softball with men/women half my age. I'm jazzed!

My Vote For 2014 Mets Starting SS.

Minute Rice: Put him in the bullpen, warm him up, and he's ready to serve.

Time for the Jets to find a new QB that isn't named Sanchez or Tebow.

    McElroy?

I don't trust him to be honest.

I think they need to look into drafting a QB in this year's draft.

They won't after giving Sanchez that extra year but they should.

He's looked good this offseason and the one before it before he broke his finger. I don't see why they keep shunning him. He lead Alabama to an undefeated National Championships for goodness sakes! The only reason I think it wouldn't be smart is because of the comments he made in the beginning of the season, but I'm sure eveyone is past that by now.

So did Tim Tebow and won a Heisman trophy no less. (i understand their skill sets are different and McElroy is more of a prototypical pocket passer)

College awards/achievements don't hold much weight in the NFL either.

How many great college QBs never make it in the NFL?

David Klinger, Andre Ware, Joey Harrington, Todd Marinovich, Akili Smith, JaMarcus Russell, Troy Smith, Drew Henson, etc etc. The list goes on and on of skilled guys who said skills don't translate in the NFL.

In regards to McElroy, they are probably burying him for his comments and should give a chance without question but they still need to make it a priority to draft a QB next year.

Tebow won the Heisman because he could run the ball better than he could throw. In the NFL for a QB, for the most part, that's just unacceptable. And I know that NCAA accomplishments don't mean much, but he has shown that he can lead a team to a championship (even though Igram was really the key player).

I'd just like to stop talking about that game in general, being a Longhorn fan and all.

And speaking of the Longhorns and players who aren't given chances, why hasn't Colt McCoy played at all? I know he suffered a shoulder injury in 2010, but c'mon Cleveland. It couldn't possibley get any worse that Brandon Weeden. He has thrown a high amount of INT's in his career, going 20/20 TD/INT ratio, but he still has a career 58% completion percentage and he has shown he can be even better if he just had a steady starting role.

I just want to see my Longhorns' do well. I was really sad when Shipley was cut by Tampa Bay. I pray the Jets can pick him up and finally see one of my favorite players play on my favorite team.

No need to thank someone for accepting an honor.

    But thanks anyway,

LOL that blows. I take 5 question tests that go:

    1. Football is played with a volleyball - True or False
    2. Football begins with the letter F - True or False
    3. When a team scores, the other team losses a player - True or False
    4. The professional football league is the MLB - True or False
    5. The group of players who play offense is called 'the defense' - True or False

BONUS - If it is a Saturday and the win is blowing northeast at a speed of 12.1 mph, how do you spell 'football'?

I always thought Chuck would be a better QB than he was a reliever....
