Just got back from my basketball game. Probably the most exciting one I've played in my entire life.
Goes back and forth the entire game. Overall, we played very poorly and should've killed them, but we've never seen a 1-3-1 zone before and really **** the bed.
So we're down by 7 with 1 minute left in the 4th. We go down, hit a 3. 45-41. We run a full court zone press - get a steal and an easy layup. 45-43. With 10 seconds left, their player misses both free throws and after the time out, we get it inside to our big man (around 6'5" with red hair, lol). With 1 second left, he gets fouled and time expires. He hits both free throws and we go to over time.
Same thing in over time, back and forth. This time, we're down by 4 with 30 seconds. We go down, hit a huge three after what should've been a reaching in foul. We get the ball back down by 1 with 6 seconds left and get it inside again. Once again, he gets fouled and time expires.
He hits both free throws again and we win in overtime. It was insane. Last year, we went 0-14 in league play. This year, we're 2-1 (should be 3-0) and only lost by 2 to the best team in the league (we were up by 10 at half and we didn't get a call for us in the 2nd half).
Winning really feels good.
