A sign his career is over? I am not overly optimistic he can come back again. From what I have read it will only keep him out a couple weeks but I don't know how likely that is... I was hoping he could regain his form but thats a long shot if he does come back he will only be able to play spot minutes...

According to the team’s release, Roy is expected to miss approximately one month.

I was expecting a couple weeks but a month out will really hurt.

I believe Adelman likes Lee's defense so I bet we see him continue to start and Shved coming off the bench. In the article above it said j Howard could log some minutes at the 2 so I'm interested to see how he'd play the position.

dam, I didnt think too much of him having a very minor surgery, even though it was on his knee...but he is being advised to retire again...I would trust the doctor opinion.

This also gives us an extra $5.3 mill to spend on Pek/Chase.

Minnesota Timberwolves' Brandon Roy Has Date In Mind For Return
I think he'll be back on the court this year yet. We play the Blazers a week into January so I'm guessing that is the date he has in mind.

I may be the minority here but i really enjoyed having him on the court this year. No, he wasn't the Roy of old but with his court vision and leadership, I'd love to have him back as a role player. His knowledge of the game and leadership really helped our team win the 1st couple games.

He'll provide that vet presence and knowledge throughout the year, but won't be here next year. Like PJ stated, that gives us an extra $5.3m to lock up our key guys.
