understand why. However the one problem in recent years w Marmol is that NL players who have known him and seen him a lot know his slider has ridiculous movement and rarely stays in the zone so they sat on it. To hitters that aren't familiar w him it'll be harder to sit on it.

seriously? c'mon. he has a career BB% of 18.2 and his xfip is 4.21. He is a perfect example of how sabermaetrics show the real pitcher. Marmol for haren is a steal for the cubs

I know it sounds like bs and I might be talking out of my *** bc I'm a little tipsy but in the last 2 years it seems like more and more teams have sat on marmols slider granted it could be because he hasn't been locating his fastball as well but o well deal looks to be dead

I honestly rather let Haren go for nothing than get Marmol back. Paying him 9.8M would have been horrible and would have prevented us from signing anyone else for the pen

We have to sign at least one starter. Right now our rotation is Weaver/Wilson/Richards/Williams/???

We pretty much need to sign 2 SP. We cant head into the season with two big question marks like Richards and Williams in our starting rotation. Williams should be in the pen as our long relief option/spot starter.

We need at least a good number 3 pitcher and a 5th man that can throw 200 innings.

Best case scenario we re-sign Greinke for somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-6 years 120M. Then sign someone like Edwin Jackson to a 1 year deal for around 10M.

I would do that trade (Callaspo/Bedrosian) if the Angels signed Chavez or Youkilis for 3B
