Matt Kemp on steroids Imagine he would go from being a beast to some kind of super beast, think Street Fighter. in all seriousness though, Mark was never a free-swinging bad ball chaser he should be a good influence on Kemp.

This is a hugely informed forum and I'm glad to be a part of it.

As far as this topic...I just saw a tweet from Jim Bowden saying that the St. Louis Dispatch is reporting that McGwire will take the same spot with the Blue. Some on Twitter are already ragging on how he's now closer to the BALCO labs..heh. I don't know how to include tweets into this post otherwise I would. Yup I know...right now I'm a noob but I learn quick.

Bonds would suck as a hitting couch. unless your talking about a different Bonds, one who has a heart to teach and not a heart to be a douche.

oh, I thought you meant if Barry joined LA. I said it would never happen.

Yes, he is supposed to find a role within our organization again in a year or so, sorry I must have misread.

Edit: I see my mistake, I was responding to a fellow Giants fan not realizing it and responding as if a Dodgers fan had said it.
The blue in his sig doesn't help. Then again neither does mine.

Hopefully Big Mac as the hitting coach won't turn out to be Jack Clark Part II.

Even though the guy took steroids, he still needed to hit a round ball with a round bat and that requires technique and skills. He can teach our guys for sure and will help out the offense. I am supportive of all of the front office moves this offseason! GO BLUE!

hopefully he can teach Juan Uribe how to hit, I mean we are going to have him for one more season, might as well have something useful out of him. Also would like him to work with Dee Gordon.

    Haha...thanks Gibby

Curious as to what McGwire can bring to make a difference in the lineup.

Seemed like towards the end of last year the hitters were taking a fair amount of pitches and not as aggressive...save for Hanley who'd go up there hackin' every time.

Appears he isn't the hitting coach yet, but is one of 3/4 candidates for the job now
