    RA Dickey, ESPN & Projections

Tonite the Knicks open the long awaited NBA season here in NY. The media is just crucifying this team before they even play a minute of the actual season.

Here is what ESPN said about RA Dickey at the end of the 2011 season, and his pending Free Agency...

    77. R.A. Dickey, Mets: There are worse contracts out there, but New York will more than likely choose NOT to exercise its $5 million club option and let Dickey become a free agent.

Oh, once again, the "so called experts" have no freaking clue what they are talking about!

With all due respect, that doesn't sound right. No one in their right mind thought the Mets weren't going to exercise that option. The only alternative was to just let him walk away.

the only questions are whether he will be extended beyond the option year, traded during the 2013 season, or allowed to leave via free agency after the season a la Jose Reyes.

But not picking up his option was, er, not really an option.
"Mr. Martin Tanner, Baritone, of Dayton, Ohio made his Town Hall debut last night. He came well prepared, but unfortunately his presentation was not up to contemporary professional standards. His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."

The article was written in March, though... no one could have predicted this type of season from RA this year (except you maybe haha)

Well in their defense, 5 million dollars to the Wilpons is like the whole payroll.
