Sleeping giants with at least 2 holes in the lineup (2B and C), and just added druggie Jordan Shafer to the mix. Yeah, wonderful start. More like sleeping on the job. Maybe Arthur Blank can bit(h slad some sense into Frank Wren?

Well, the two "holes in the lineup" have nine All-Star appearances between them. And though they both had down years, one was still above-average and one will have surgery to hopefully put his health issues behind them. I think most teams would envy calling Dan Uggla and Brian McCann their "holes."
And as for Schafer, who cares if he was a druggie? If he doesn't hit, he doesn't make the team. There's no downside.
And as for a "wonderful start" or "sleeping on the job," perhaps you could count for us the number of players who have changed teams since the season ended last week, other than random waiver claims. Nothing has happened yet. If Frank Wren is sleeping on the job, so is everyone else.
one of those 'holes' was injury related. try hitting 30 hrs and .280 with a bum shoulder. hindsight is 20/20 and he shoulda had it taken care of months ago, but he thought he could play through it. i guaran-damn-tee that if he comes back 100% from the surgery, he won't repeat last year's hitting mess.

Judging by the thread's title, we need the Japanese to bomb the Braves, then they'll start kicking ***.
I don't see Bourn coming back
