You're right, great is a stretch haha. I meant he looked good for a player that we signed to the vet minimum? It was the vet min right? Either way I think he exceeds his contract and he's a nice big off the bench.

I get what you mean about Stiemsma, or at least I have a similar feeling. Some games in pre-season, I would watch and sort of think "what is he really giving us?" Sometimes, the box score would show nothing and sometimes you would be surprised to see he had 9 points, 5 rebounds and some blocks. It's one of those things where he compiles his stats slowly and sometimes if he's only altering shots it's not going to show up at the end.
United We Run
Well after this game its pretty obvious that we can just coast to the playoffs and then turn it on from there. If we are smart we will package rubio and love for a 1st round pick or two and let this group develop....
Seriously though I liked what jj brought to the second unit. AK is awesome and im so happy we have him. His d on reke was great, he takes points when its there for him, he rebounds, he passes well and so on. These two players to me were the mvp's for us tonight.
excited for the season. deep team. playoffs or bust. offseason moves look great. as long as we can be around .500 by the time love comes back. and then once we get rubio back our d will be top 5 in the league book it
Do you guys even realize we just won a game w/out K Love and Ricky and on top of that Pek, B Roy and Bud all played sub par. I can barely comprehend it. Go wolves!!
The thing that I comprehend, is that our front office put together a team that is deep enough to beat bad teams, and when we have our two best players back, we will be that much better. We didnt look that great tonight, against a bad team...but we did it without our two best players...you take away the two best players from so many teams in this league, and they are going to struggle greatly against any team.

Cunningham seemed to talk very confidently about our defense, it's good to hear we finally might get a D reputation back that we lost ever since KG left.
"Let me tell you bout' my BESTFRIEND!"
A lot to be happy about. Steimsma is a beast on the defensive end. I am not happy at all with the way Williams looked tonight. He still looks lost and is making stupid shots, relying too much on his athleticism to bail him out.
Athleticism is about all Williams has showed me. Other than that, he doesnt have a jump shot, he doesnt have handles, he doesnt have basketball IQ (which we were told he does), and he cant drive the lane...also, he doesnt have an NBA position...he is quickly falling out of my graces.
Wes J?
He can as long as he puts it in the game thread. Let's not turn this into the main forum with 347 threads about the same thing.
