Also, FanGraphs did their own version of ranking broadcasters and the Houston television broadcast crew was viewed favorably.
I was about to post the FanGraphs article. I want Deshaies.

Almost makes me sorry I haven't seen an Astros' broadcast to have a better idea about how Deshaies calls a game. At the very least, my curiosity is piqued.

I think I'd be pretty pleased with the Astros guy or Karros at this point.

I think it's gonna end up being Karros and I wouldn't have any problem with that.

Has nothing to do with his broadcasting skills, but Karros' full page ad in both papers after spending only one year here always had a soft spot in my baseball heart. Again, means very little for this purpose, but Karros truely did love being a Chicago Cub...

    plesac out

Plesac told ESPNChicago.com that he informed WGN executive producer Bob Vorwald on Friday that he was withdrawing his name from consideration and staying with the MLB Network, where Plesac has worked since it began in January 2009.

Karros' speech impediment is annoying. Sorry to be superficial but it's a major distraction.

Posted this in another thread, but Bruce Levine just said on Talkin' Baseball that he believes Eric Karros and Mark DeRosa are the leading candidates to replace Bob Brenly.

Mehh. Plesacs voice is kinda annoying. I do like him tho. What about Hee-Seop-Choi? He could offer great insight on Fujikawa... Len and Hee-Seop just flows and has a nice ring to it!
