beat me to it...lol. Anyways, this was the only type of move I was expecting. He has character issues, but BB should be able to work with him. He's also currently suspended I think (it might have ended already).

He's got the talent to be great but he's inconsistent. Some nice numbers from last season...

    Talib last year: 64% suc rate (6th) and 5.5 yd/pass (9th) in 13 games.
    Definitely an improvement.

    This.

When you consider he's essentially replacing Arrington it's a definite win for I'm guessing a 5th, maybe 4th rounder.

Probably 5th-6th I'm guessing. A 4th seems to much for him considering he was in Schiano's dog house.

Players with character issues don't worry me in the least. If BB sees the value in trading for him, it's always worth it. In this system he won't be a headcase. And who knows maybe he likes his time here and finds some consistent success and resigns at a discount in the offseason.

What I'm most excited about is the huge upgrade in talent in our secondary. I say we keep McCourty at Safety next to Wilson and roll with Talib and Dennard at the CB's. Use Gregory as a backup and rotate in Chung in run situations and big nickel formations. Gregory would also allow for McCourty to take a CB spot in Nickel packages and push either Talib or Dennard in to cover the slot.

I was so fed up with Arrington I don't know how this isn't possibly a win.

I am interested in the compensation. The Patriots have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th in next years (2013) draft. They don't have a 5th or 6th. Did they give up the 4th? Did they give up the 7th? Maybe a 2014 pick? Maybe the 4th for the player and a 5th?
