    Not necessarily.

And Coughlin has final say on personnel decisions. Locklear said Diehl took the first team reps this week, I'd say if thats the case than Diehl will be the starter.

I was Watching the video G posted, Locklear seems to be a phenomenal pass-blocker, but was weak at run-blocking, which explais some 1-2 rush gains on each play, I always had a firm belief Diehl was a better Run-Blocker then at the pass, but that's just my opinion...I just see Diehl block well when it mattered the most, so that's why I felt like that, but he does get a lot of holding penalties and that's what ticks me the most of #66, but Diehl should be on the field on running plays and Locklear on passing plays IMO, but I really am not worried about it, and I'm sure the coaches will show us that we were worried for nothing...hopefully ray:

    The right move.

As a coach, to have your players respect you and follow you no man loses his job over injury only by performance. when Diehl comes back and he doesn't play up to par then u make a change. and this is why our organization and our HC are highly respected.

I agree with a majority of your post, but that isn't typically the case (just ask Drew Bledsoe). While I understand what you are saying, the NFL isn't like other sports (where performance always outweighs time served). Unless Diehl has been clearly outperforming Locklear in practice, he should not regain his starting position. If its not broke.....

    Goodbye old friend.

Locklear was better than Diehl, but it was still shakey. Everyone hypes the low sack numbers, but seems like its more on Eli getting rid of the ball.
