Can Dwight actually win the MVP this year?

If the lakers start winning soon and end up with the best or 2nd best record in the league and say he averages 25-14-3 60% shooting can and will that be enough to dethrone Lebron and beat out the other challengers aka Durant cp3 and his own teammate Kobe? Or do you think not having a good enough record will hurt his chances?

Love him or hate him, call him overrated, a punk, chump, and whatever blasphemy you people speak, fact of the matter is there is no denying he's the best of his generation and will go down as a top 5 player ever...what he has done for the NBA is amazing he's the biggest name in basketball all around the world and his chase for number 6 continues! All that matters though to us Laker fans is #17! Lakersnation! #16to17

Nah, the league is on Lebrons nuts right now, he may get his 3rd, or maybe even Durant now if Westbrook let's him shoot.

If Howard stays healthy and Kobe doesn't get jealous D12 could easily be the MVP of the league this year. The man has never played with another big man, or with great outside perimeter players, and he has all of that on this team.

His performance last night, in the second game of a back-to-back, was incredible. And because he showed a willingness to pass (he lead the team in assists with 5) he's never going to be one of those big men (cough) who gets shut down (cough) by double teams. He can re-post or rotate faster than any big in the league, and his hops mean he's always a lob threat.

Yes, absolutely, D12 could be the MVP this year if his body holds up.

LeBron is cemented as the poster boy of the NBA now. Unless he gets caught with transvestite hooker with Eddie Murphy, the MVP is his.

Dwight is the best player on the team, carrying a declining chucker, a soft Spaniard, and an old and broken down Canadian.

Kobe might say this is still his team, but in my heart, I'm calling it Dwight's team, and he will be MVP this season.

Can Dwight actually win the MVP this year?

Of course he can. Last nights game looked to be quite easy for him... He is a dominant player and if he is the focal point of our "offense" there is no reason why he would t have a shot.

We obviously have to win some games though

If he plays like yesterday 33,14, and 5 and continues to make his free throws yes, if he gets his blocks up not only will he run away with it, but he'll get the defensive player of the year award to.

Yes,Yesterday he was carrying the team then Kobe gets 3 straight turnovers and the Portland lead balloons to 12, If Howard is dominating the opposition then he should get the ball on every possession.

I like his chances and yes people are on lebrons nuts but I think wade will also have a big year and that will cancel out lebrons season hey Lebron started slow this year people he's only averaging 2 assist a game haha
