Hm, reviews of Skyfall are promising at least.

QoS was tough in theaters because of the damn shaky cam/bourne style of directing. Many of the big action scenes were cut up into a million different half-second shots. I find a more fluid shot that takes in all the action and surroundings to be more visually impressive and most importantly, easy to follow. The stunts seem more impressive when they aren't spliced and diced in the editing room. The villains were rather weak as well. I still rate it decently high because Craig is phenomenal in delivering a believable revenge driven character that is on the brink of destruction.

Also, while the bond girl isn't anything special, her internal revenge plot adds and gives a different dynamic to the relationship with Bond.

I thought QoS was rare in that its 2nd half was much better than the first. A few bond films have problems with their second half unraveling. The set-up and plot moves along at great pace but bogs down toward the latter half of the film. Such is the case with Live and Let Die, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day and You Only Live Twice (volcano lair ending included). You could actual make the case for Goldfinger as well. The first half of that film is absolutely fantastic, but the 2nd half is just decent.

And I just watched the trailer for the first time which included both nurses AND pyramid head. So it's guaranteed to be awesome.

I took my daughter when it came out (Mrs Fred won't go to a theatre)...it is good, not great....creepy in the beginning, not so much later....entertaining, and yet, not as good as the original...I did not see the 3D version....

I agree with the last paragraph. Hell, even in Casino Royale, after the poker game ends it's a little meh.

I want to see Seven Psychopaths, Looper, Argo, Wreck It Ralph, probably Skyfall, and I'd like to go see The Master again if I can find the time.

If I were to actually go see all of those movies, that would be more movies in a week or two than I've seen in theaters in the past, like, three years.

And maybe I'm being overly harsh because I was so disappointed and I usually leave theaters satisfied because I'm hyper-selective about going to the movies, but I honestly thought Quantum sucked giant, hairy balls.

I want to see this too, but it got really bad reviews. I don't usually pay attention to reviews when deciding what movies I want to see, but it's at 6% on RT. That's not encouraging at all.

And Paranormal 4 was ****ing retarded. It's basically the same exact movie as the last one with a different cast. Excruciatingly boring and 90% of the "scares" aren't even ghost related. There is a very watchable torrent copy out, I highly recommend not wasting 10 bucks on it.

I just did. It didn't quite measure up to Casino Royale for me, but it was definitely good.

That's why I loved Skyfall.
Since Craig has played Bond we've seen a somewhat "Bruce Wayne" character. **** it, play cards with terrorists, mack the villains chick, save the villain from other terrorists, and oh yeah, win the card game with ease (or ends up killing the winner). Totally new Bond, and a Rico Suave.

Skyfall is the basics, unlike Casino Royale & QoS.
He's turning rifles into sawed off's, and shooting at helicopters equipped w/ 50cals in a fortress.
That Aston Martin was super nice too.
