No, and Coangelo should be fired for giving it to him.

I'm ok with the deal...He's a very tradable commodity if he doesn't grow to expectations.
demar hit a couple 3's last year because he was looking for them, due to his new found "confidence" in his range. This year, he has taken the look because they were too wide open to pass up. If he can continue to play like this and realize this ability to continually score on the block, the raps are going to have one helluva backcourt.
Derozan plays well with a guard that like to get out and run and can penetrate to the basket. He played well with Bayless, and he is playing great beside Kyle Lowry.
As far as fundamentals go, his shot is very fundamentally sound. He had like the best percentage on mid range jumpers in the entire NBA last season. He isn't going to wow anyone with his crossover dribble yet, but his defense and effort on the glass really look improved over last season. The added weight and practicing with team USA seems to have really elevated his game in those areas.
Brandon Roy was a very good test with his bum legs, but Derozan also dropped 25 on Brooklyn in that losing effort going 8 for 13 from the field and got to the FT line 10 times.
He got to the FT line 10+ times 11 times last year in 63 games. I would like to see him get to the line 10+ times in 30+ games this season.
OJ Mayo in a heartbeat.
If he averaged the same stat line throughout the season as he has in the first 5 games, I'd be very content with the contract we gave out.

Even if his numbers drop a bit we should be happy... he's averaging great numbers and is still on his rookie contract at the moment. He is always improving and starting to learn how to play right. Also, he wants to be in Toronto!
