Rather impressive, 6 seasons with 31 starts min and 200 + IP. The last 2 being his best...But hey, it's not Justin Verlander, we should not be too excited, he had a 5.18 era 2 or 3 years ago. If the Rays are dumping salary: ok, if they ask for the king's ransom, they can keep him.

No way to Fed - Ex as part of the deal. Catchers careers are to short lived - I want to see him develop as a possible replacement for Ellis in a few years..or sooner if needed.

Van Slyke and one otherscrubs. We better not overpay for him. Not worth it.

Shields is puzzling. For sure not an ace, but did put up Cy-esque numbers in 2011.

On one hand he plays in a pitcher's park, on the other he plays in the AL bEast.

I think a relocation to the NL West, with all its pitcher's parks, could serve him well.

Yes, this guy will easily throw 200+ innings and then some. The question is whether or not he's as good as advertised.

What IS he actually worth to you?

This was more to my point - lets not give up what prospects we have left for a 31 year that may or may not be great when he gets here.

For shields ...it's a toss up (to me)...
For King Felix...I'd give up Dee, Lee, Fed ex and some $$$...
