I honestly can see Selig stepping in and rejecting this trade. Marlins begged and pleaded for a new stadium only for it to come out of the taxpayers pockets. This is bad for baseball, really bad. No player worth a **** is going to want to sign with the Marlins for a long time. MLB is basically losing an entire market now. This isn't like their past fire sales.

Stats NEVER tell the whole story!

I can see him allowing it so he can have that franchise contracted, those owners are crooks.

I really hope so, but the Marlins image is going to be tarnished regardless.

I can understand the Marlins trading Hanley, Infante, Bell, and even Buerhle but getting rid of Reyes is what makes this trade confusing. Jose Reyes was a nice fit in Miami, didn't have a terrible year, and his contract is pretty reasonable compared to a lot of the other contracts we are seeing in baseball today. It is mind boggling how terribly the Marlins are run.

As a kid I remember seeing Joe Rudi and Dave Duncan play for Modesto A's. Then in late 70's early 80's I was Modesto A's pa annoucer.

I'm like a kid at Christmas, I can't wait for the MVP to be announced. Buster gets his time to shine, and we get to watch the internetz explode when Trout or Cabrera are announced. I LOVE the controversy.

I seriously hope the voters woke up and voted for Trout.

He deserves it, but I would get a kick out of Twitter turning upside down if Cabrera was announced.

I hope so too, I've been absolutely blasted on facebook for calling Trout in a landslide. Some dude was preaching about how historic Miggy's season was and said "I guarantee you that you can't find a better season since 2000." I named like 7 and he deleted me

Those people who think Cabrera's season was this almighty domination are clueless. This wasn't even his best season.

His 2011 season was on the lists of seasons better than his triple crown season.
