According to the World Boxing Association, the WBA's "super champion" at super middleweight, Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs) will have to face the winner of the upcoming fight between Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25KOs) and Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34KOs).

Magee and Kessler will fight on December 8th in Denmark for the "regular" WBA championship. Following the conclusion of that fight, the WBA will give Ward six months to face the winner.

Ward, who may return on January 26th against Kelly Pavlik, already holds an eleven round technical decision over Kessler from their 2009 fight in the first stage of the Super Six tournament.
I would like to see him fight Kessler again.

Big "Viking Warrior" fan, thought he was going to annihilate Calzaghe a few years ago but was dead wrong on that predicition.

He's done fairly well since his eye situation, does have a good win over Carl Froch, and his last fight in Denmark against a no-name guy he did score a picture perfect knockout.

But Ward is light years ahead of his super-middleweight and light heavyweight counterparts. His destruction of Bad Chad, regardless if he was weight drained (He asked to come down to 168) was an absolute masterpiece. If he learns how to finish guys off he'll become more of a fan-friendly fighter. For now, because of his lunging, awkward style, I think only most boxing purists appreciate what he can do.

I think he's arguably top 3-4 P4P with the best resume in the game for the past 3 years. The first kessler fight was a wipeout, I'd expect it to be a little worse this time around.
