I'd shop him to see what might be available. But I'd keep him if the return isn't good enough.

I think the return is going to be mediocre seeing as he is basically a very short term rental so I'd have to temper expectations.

That said, if the right offer comes up, I would pounce without hesiattion and take my chances with the position itself.
