    Buehrle, Peavy win Gold Glove

It's great to see MB56 add to his collection. Do you guys think he will hve a shot at the hall? It has become the hall if the 'very good' and Mark has an impressive résumé with a no hitter, perfect game, World Series, A few gold gloves already....

I don't think he is a GREAT pitcher but will his overall resume eventually sneak him in the hall?

I agree. It is the hall of the very good though. The voters are idiots

i actually think he has a shot, never great but above average over his career has given him the ability to sneak up on accumulative numbers comparable to low tier hofers.he's def someone who sneaks up on you,you never really think about him in those terms til you look him up and are surprised how good he's been for his career

The only shot he has if he gets the magical number of 300 wins that so many sports writers look at win voting.

Peavy and Hellickson tied for the gold glove in the AL. I honestly didnt know you could tie.

So you are saying a 32 year old pitcher only has 36 more wins in him? Buehrle if he wanted to could pitch to his 40's.

Even though he averages 14 wins a season. And still has three years left on his deal. I'm guessing he continues pitching after. He is close if he retires at 35.

Mark gets in AFTER Jim Kaat gets in. Kaat was the greatest fielding pitcher, and 280 plus wins is nothing to achoo at.

I understand voters look at certain magic numbers like 300 wins, used to be 500 homers, but I don't think longevity should get you in the HOF. IMO the HOF should be reserved for GREAT players, not good players who happened to do their job for a long time. It's the Jamie Moyer thing. Yeah he's close to 300 wins, but he's pitching at 50 yrs old and that doesn't make him close to being a hall of famer in my book.

He has some pretty spectacular individual accomplishments, but I don't know...he needs to win about 100 more games.

He will not average 14 wins with the marlins. Marks betters years are behind him. 300 just is not happening for a very long time the next players maybe verlander but doubtful or strasburg barring injury.id put lee Smith in before mark atleast he was a dominate pitcher at one time.
