Sounds like he got a ton, but that's OK. I like that team has money to burn! I hope they still bring in Fujikawa. Fujikawa, Jansen, League would be dominant!
I also don't think they will sign Grienke. They might but I think Loshe and Dempster are more likely. That would be both of them. I know Dempster isn't popular around here, but it seemed like the team was really after him and he wanted to come here. That seems like a natural and if he's your #5, you're doing just fine!
If we get Loshe for 2 years, sign me up, anything longer, no
gimme a starting pitcher or 2 and maybe another bat and im set
2013 here we come![]()

Yikes. 7M for a reliever. Doesn't bode well for us since Affeldt's a Free Agent. Thanks Ned.![]()

This is a terrible move. Sorry Dodger fans.
Brandon League just is not worth this kind of money and the Relievers Market is very deep this offseason.
LA could have gotten more bang for their buck had they not overpaid for League.
I don't like this for you guys AT ALL.
It's a laughable deal, however it doesn't matter as the Dodgers play with monopoly money unlike everyone else.
I don't like the amount he got, but if that's what we had to pay to get him back, no problem. It's not the owners care much about the money. They'll get paid with the TV contract anyway.
I know and you're right. 7 mil a year in a vacuum for League is awful, however for LA it really doesn't matter. Until we see signs of money being an issue we just have to assume it won't be.
The only issue is if he does replace Jansen's role. Jansen is the best guy in the pen and should be throwing the most high leverage innings of anyone as long as he is capable. Not League.
For those who wanted Peavy, he just signed an extension.
