Any MLB teams who has ambition must start the season with 6 healthy starters. I have seen in 25 years the 5 penciled starters pitch 32 games each. Then Lilly being a total question mark and Billingsey a risk, it's obvious we need another starter with 2 rules:
1) we dont't even talk to any pitcher in contract with Boaras. He is so clever to find stupid GM, had (I think he has not) Greinke under contract, he would find someone stupid enough to pay $150M for 6 years.
2) With a top of the rotation with Kershaw, Beckett and Billingsley, you don't need to invest on a 3 figures contract for you number 4
3) That's where Kuroda is more valuable than anytime. Veterans between 36 and 38, not injury prone, and looking for 2 years contact max.
4) we have plenty of money for our bullpen, backup catcher and backup OF
