DBacks aren't going to give up Bauer and Upton for 1 year of Wright. Plus there is absolutely zero chance the Mets get a package even remotely close to that one for him.

You realize even if they have time to negotiate an extension they're still going to have to pay the guy 18ish million a year? You think they'll do that and then dump some of the top prospects in all of baseball on top of that? I just don't see it.

As a Cubs fan, I'd love to have Scherzer. No idea what it would cost though. I'd imagine you guys would ask for something pretty good though.
