    2012-2013 off-season trade ideas

Post trade ideas that you think could happen this off-season.

I could see the Cardinals trading Matt Adams away.

    This should be fun.

    2013 Tim Lincecum

    48.2IP | 4.07 ERA | 3.61 FIP | 3.23 xFIP | 52K | 23BB | 1.38 WHIP

    My idea was

Tyrell Jenkins and Matt Adams to Seattle for one of Franklin or Brad Miller.

Not sure if Seattle fans liked this that much, it didn't seem to solve an issue for them well enough.

Something I've thought of was something involving Denard Span and a piece or two to Miami for Josh Johnson. Miami has been linked to Span in the past and Johnson has Minnesota ties, and the Twins need pitching desperately. Maybe Span, Hendriks, Benson for Johnson?

I know they really wanted to hang onto Johnson during the season. But who knows when it's the Marlins.

What can the Dodgers get for Andre Ethier? They are open to moving him, and would probably have to eat some salary.

Ya I wonder what the Dodgers can get for a glorified platoon hitter with an 85M price tag (of course they would eat some of that contract).

Nothing unless you are willing to eat some of the salary (which you said they would).

I know VRP will get in on this, but he is a platoon hitter (and while his platoon side is the more used side) he just isn't that valuable.

I wouldn't trade for him being the Cardinals even if I needed a right fielder, he makes too much for too long now.

Maybe someone who is making a little too much somewhere that needs a right fielder and the player in discussion is at an overfilled position (like say a starter).

If they can't trade him, they should look into adding Jonny Gomes to platoon with him, he can hit lefties and there wouldn't be a tradeoff in power.

What do you guys think the Braves could get for Tommy Hanson? I'd honestly trade him for any kind of prospects at this point.

    Milwaukee Brewers Receive

    RF Lucas Duda

    New York Mets Receive

    C Martin Maldonado

    * Duda plays 1B if the Brewers make a run at Hamilton *

    * Maldonado offers a young alternative RH platoon bat with Thole *

My need for your need trade.

He isn't bad, relatively speaking, but his value was sky high last year and there's a concern he may never make it back up. His velocity continues to drop and his shoulder problems are a red flag for a short career.
