While agreeing with Homer hurts a little, he is correct. Alex's problem on the deep ball is he doesn't trust any other than Vernon and tends to over throw it so no one else can possibly catch it (except maybe a guy on the bench). This year I see that is changing, however... the west coast offense is not built on high risk long throws. It's built on low risk, short passes that the receiver is expected to get yards after the catch. So yes, expect who ever is in at QB to throw the vast majority of his passes under 15 yards - be it Alex, Kap, or who ever else it might be.
