    Which Reliever Would You Sign

I am allowing multiple choice, but please be as realistic as possible when choosing.

I will also post catchers and low risk high reward outfielders later on if you guys do not mind.

Since we have poll's for current Mets. Polls for FA's could work too.

As Mention I think Adams and Affeldt will be too rich for their blood.

Grilli is a guy I would love to get, if they can get him for 2 years 8 million I would do it. Randy Choate is another guy I would target as a second lefty with Edgin. That would mean you have Carson as an in case guy at AAA.

I forgot to add Grilli! My bad. But yes I agree he would be a good fit and shouldn't cost much either.

Jeremy Affeldt is too expensive from the left side so i would look into JP Howell.

As for RH relievers, Juan Cruz, Peralta, and Grilli are all interesting options.

But honestly they are have too many other problems besides the bullpen with their OF and C situation that those should be first priority.

With limited payroll they have to pick and choose their spots.

Where is the answer, none of the above?

The Mets won't sign any one of those guys, they are maxed out financially..

krod, lindstrom, and madson simply because those guys will come off the cheap IMO
This is just the beginning. Let's keep it up. History is bound to repeat itself. Let's hope that this time it's for the best.

    This sadly...

The bullpen acquisitions blew up in Sandy's face this year, i think even if they had some flexibility they would try the young guys just to see what they have.

It's a good idea considering we know this team isn't going anywhere in 2013.

If they add any payroll it might be in the OF.

Payroll will be around $100MM and the Mets have ~$96MM committed already with 4-5 guys to put on the roster.

We will not be signing anyone significant unless trades are made.

Yeah, but I doubt they will just play all their young guys, as much as we want that to happen.

I don't see much movement in the bullpen, i would like to see them add 2 relievers even as bi polar as relief pitching can be but like you said with minimal payroll flexibility i would think it would have to be ST invitees or a trade acquisition to see any new arms out there.

If you do not feel any of the above fit into the Mets payroll

Please leave a comment with the word (other) and write who you feel is a better fit.

I am working on adding Jason Grilli, Shawn Camp, Joel Peralta, and others into the poll.

I was not aware how many options I could add to the poll, I will know for the future though for sure and make it better.

Not at all ... this is much appreciated. I wasn't sure if I could list all 50+ relievers into the poll but this works just as well. Thanks!
