I'm open to it. Love Dre, but it really depends on what we can get.

Doesn't matter what I think though. It appears, as Olney reports, the Dodgers are open to it. When statements like that are made, it's beyond fan preference.

2014 and beyond - work on trading Crawford to rid ourselves of his contract and make room for Joc and Puig.

We own him for 1 more year. While he is not great, he is a good fielder and SB guy. Better than Rivera.

Gwynn is fine for a 5th OF. We need another solid OF especially with Kemp also in question for opening day. I think Victorino is a good option. I know that won't be popular here, but he can fill in leading off for Crawford comes back and then be a right handed fill in for Ethier against tough lefties.

This might be the beginning of Josh Hamilton in Dodger blue.

Why? Vic hit something like .320 from the right side last season.

Yes, but he'd never sign with us knowing that was his fate

If we trade Ethier despite what people's preferences are, its very possible. Kemp and Hamilton in the heart of our lineup would scare the piss out of every team in baseball. 2 legit mvp candidates. The problem I see is his past coming back again. He needs to get our of Texas though. I think his days are over there. Anyway, that being said, I dont want to just give Ethier away but its very evident that anyone who wants to get around Ethier just needs a lefty on the mound and then they have the advantage. If we do deal him though it better be for a solid or ace pitcher. I think your going to see our ownerships really try to pull some strings this winter since the Giants won the WS and our local media throwing it in the fans faces as well as our ownership. IDK who we can get though. We will see.

And the guy we're forgetting more than anybody as a 4th OF candidate is Jerry Hairston

I like Andre, but at the age of 30 I don't see him being any better than what he is now. I first have to see who has a better season Andre, or Crawford to decide who I will want traded.

Can you imagine a 3-4-5 of Kemp-Agon-Hamilton "deadly"

That is an unbelievable heart of the order... our 3-6 are capable of putting up 30-40 HR a season. lol. The lineup in general is just sick. However, the key as people have stated is getting good pitching. If we resign League and sign this super Japanese closer, our bullpen will be nasty too.
