Just imagine having Profar and Puig playing for us.. All we would need is Cespedes and we'll have the Cuban triple threat!!!

    I came across this:

The Mariners should try something "bold and imaginative" to bring a major hitter to Seattle, such as trading top prospects for a big bat like Curtis Granderson, Andre Ethier, Carlos Gonzalez or Giancarlo Stanton, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal writes.

Okay guys lets take the farm. Lol

We have plenty of outfield & pitching prospects coming up, but not that many position players, Zunino, Franklin, seager for either, Gordon and punto.. Than sign Bourne.. Get Ned on the phone..

I would only trade Ethier if we could package him to get an all star at second base or ss. I am certainly not in favor of giving up Ethier for cabrera like some have suggested. He isn't better than Ethier. Id much rather stick with Cruz and hanley or alternate with hanley at third and Gordon at ss than give up Ethier for cabrera. Despite his knock against lefties, Ethier is one of if not most, clutch player on the team. He comes up with big hits in need to situations that I don't think is easily replacable. I would package him in a deal for cano or someone studly at short stop and then sign bourne as our leadoff hitter. Other than giving him up for something obviously better, I would just keep him.

I hope ethier doesnt the 'pau gasol' effect and start playing poorly next year since he's being shopped by ownership.

Dodgers need a leadoff guy. Could they trade Ethier, sign Bourn? It's been discussed, sources say. http://cbsprt.co/UdNjjn

Damn I love this ownership group.

As much as I like Dre (keyword; "like"), I wouldn't mind a trade that nets us a good young SS and/or lead off hitter, or another ace-type pitcher...

    Lets get creative Team Guggen!

The Red Sox asked the Dodgers about Andre Ethier at the start of the winter and heard he was “not available,” Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (on Twitter). It doesn’t appear that the Dodgers will trade Ethier this winter.
The Mariners also talked to the Dodgers about Ethier, Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports report. However, talks failed to progress

Let me first say I am an Either fan, but if we could improve the ball club , then trade him. We must have an outfield option first--- If we sign Bourne, then we could trade Either for an inf who could provide a little more offensive punch and def. Just don't know who that would be or atleast be available

M'S & Rangers both need a power Guy in RF and being that there is no f.a to bee had Ernie could fit right in for both of those teams.

His presence in the outfield gives us another GG to replace the would-be outgoing GG, and bumps Kemp to RF. This would give, quite possibly, the FASTEST OUTFIELD IN ML HISTORY. Seriously, nothing would get by these guys. It also means Kemp would be running a lot less, keeping his legs fresh from the constant pounding of his big frame. I'd imagine we'd see more SB attempts from Kemp as a result.

Additionally, Bourne would solidify the only legitimate offensive concern we have - leadoff. My one concern is that he strikes out frequently for a lead off hitter, but his OBP is still high enough to keep that concern at bay.

But what it really comes down to is what a package around Dre can get us. If we can center a deal around Dre and cash, that included the likes of Gordon, Cap, Harang, Van Slyke, etc., we could make a team competitive now, and give them prospects for the future.

Essentially, if trading Dre can net us the leadoff hitter we desperately need, and Asdrubal Cabrera or another Ace-type pitcher, I say do it.
The outfield trio of Vince Coleman, Willie McGee, and Andy Van Slyke stole exactly 200 bases in 1985. I don't think Bourn/Kemp/Crawford could steal that many bags in a season.

Damn you, Dave! Raining on my parade with your history and facts!

I stand corrected... McGee and Coleman were f'in fast, and Van Slyke had some wheels too.
