Also Wright was second to only Brendan Ryan in UZR/150 among all infielders. Ryan had the best UZR/150 among infielders and lost to JJ Hardy

Wright, Trout, and Ryan are the biggest snubs. Ryan the biggest snub of all. Blasphemy
Now you know how meaningless those ridiculous statrs like UZR, WAR etc. are. David Wright the 2nd best INFIELDER in baseball. That is one of the funniest statements that I have ever read.

Even mentioning Wright and Trout in the same sentence is a great disservice to Mike Trout.

You are so wrong that it is just laughable. I know David Wright on a semi- individual basis. We have both done volunteer work at the Cohen Children's Hospital together.

David Wright is one of the finest gentleman playing baseball today and one of the nicest players that I have had the privaledge of meeting.

That said, I just do not see David Wright as a Gold Glove player.

So before you make your ridiculous statement know before you write because you just make a fool of yourself.

Wright deserved the GG, he had 16 DRS this year compared to a -3 DRS from Headley.

Whatever your problem with advanced metrics is NY, Wright was the best defensive 3rd baseman in the NL this year both on eye test and the stats to back it up.

All advanced metrics are is more information to break down traditional stats further.

They are very useful regardless of your distaste for them.

That could've gone either way. He will definitely win his fair share before he retires.

No it couldn't, Adam Jones is not even close to being the best defensive CF. If they gave it to Span or Austin Jackson I wouldn't be as mad.

McCutchen over Bourn is pretty ****ing stupid as well.

Yeah it really wasn't close DRS or UZR wise.

Trout had a UZR of 11.4, whereas Jones was -6.7.

Trout also had DRS of 21.

Jones had a DRS of -13.

I seriously don't know what some of these voters are watching sometimes.

When you talk about best defensive 3B, the following come to mind :
Brooks Robinson, Graig Nettles, Scot Rolen, Mike Schmidt, ( not the early Mike Schmidt), Billy Cox, ( probably way before your time), Ron Santo

You are complaining about Wright throwing to 1st base?

Did you watch Zimmerman throw to first base this year after they readjusted his throwing motion following his shoulder injury?

Yup, but this is what you get from a guy who has his mind set by hatred. Zimmerman's arm is shot now and has series issues throwing the ball to first.

Prior to the shoulder problems, Zimmerman was a better defender, but not anymore. Wright is definitely one of the best now, because his defense is on another level.
