Wright, who has won two Gold Glove Awards (2007-08), had a 15.4 ultimate zone rating according to Fangraphs and had 16 defensive runs saved, another metric used by some to determine defensive worth. Headley, on the other hand, had a 6.0 UZR and a minus-three in terms of DRS.
That's ******** a negative DRS and a significantly lower UZR and he won it over Wright

Well Wright won 2 GG he did not deserved, but gets screwed out of the one he deserved. lol

That shows you why GG is the worst award given.

Just name the award, "I had the best offensive season and my defense was good enough" award.

Sometimes you wonder if they are watching the same game we are.

Adam Jones over Mike Trout too?

Wright got totally snubbed. Forget 3rd baseman, Wright was the 2nd best INFIELDER in baseball according to UZR/150. What the heck are these 'managers and coaches' smoking? Is Fielding % all we use?

Also Wright was second to only Brendan Ryan in UZR/150 among all infielders. Ryan had the best UZR/150 among infielders and lost to JJ Hardy

Wright, Trout, and Ryan are the biggest snubs. Ryan the biggest snub of all. Blasphemy

Na Ryan is not a stub, you have to play in most of the games to win. He is the best defensive SS in baseball though.

Shouldn't Ryan have been disqualified off the bat then? Why was he named a finalist for the GG?

Well it doesn't matter, Hardy is a great defender as well and was worthy of the award. Headley was no where near Wright's level this year.

Ryan also played in 138 games. I dunno about what you just said YoungStunna. Even though Hardy played in 158, that difference is more than made up by the fact that he was THE BEST ****ING INFIELDER IN BASEBALL

I don't know man, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. He obviously didn't win because he ****ing sucks at hitting which seems to matter to voters of the award.
