    Haha, nice.

Just read up to the actual conversation. Even once the pick is guaranteed to be ours we can't trade it before the draft, because then we'd be in a position where we could be without picks in consecutive future drafts (2013, which is still a future draft until it happens, and 2014), and you can't do that.

At least technically. In practice we can agree to a trade with it, we just have to wait till the draft, make the pick for the other team, and then do the trade (ie trading the drafted player, rather than the pick itself).

Maalik Wayns out. Shelving Mack in.

@tmoorepburbs: #Sixers sign G Shelvin Mack to 10-day contract. Maalik Wayns doesn't get second 10-day deal.

I don't like dropping Wayns just to get Mack. Mack is more of an offensive threat, probably. But, as a deep reserve, I prefer Wayns' pesky defensive ability to Mack....who if I remember correctly from the summer leagues...is a bit of a defensive liability.

Waayns hasnt played 1 second of defense or any type of quality basketball outside of a few meaningless exhibition games.

Mack can only be an upgrade in every aspect of basketball.... Also, we are talking about deep reserves anyway.... No big deal.

Wait... So you wanted to keep Wayns around for his DEFENSE? And Shelvin Mack "is a bit of a defensive liability," but Wayns isn't?

    No. Just no.

Wayns 10-day was up. So our options were sign him to one more 10-day, give him a contract or let him walk. We chose to give someone else a 10-day to see if its an improvement. Wayns will probably still be there if this doesn't work out. At that point if we choose we can give him that last 10-day.
Pay attention. You might learn something.
