They can't trade him right now. Talent wise I think it's a good fit. Financially though I don't know.

It just seems like we need one more player outside of Jrue and Bynum that can actually consistantly inniciate his own offense. We wouldn't need Derozan to pour in 20 if he can get 17 or something a game, keep the defense on its heels driving and getting to the rim. And he gets to the line at a very high rate. 10mill per yr isn't an enormous overpay really for that type of production. If it were 8mill it would be a bargain. Turner is killing me 3 points against Detroit...in the words of Herm Edwards Comon man

I have no interest in Derozan, and very little in Mayo. Guys, ET is just fine at SG if the right offensive plays are called and the right role players are on the floor. Mayo takes the ball out of Jrue/ET's hands. Some of you think that's ok. But I don't agree.

I tend to agree with wannab. And I'm not even a big Turner fan, but if your going to target guys like DeRozan (eww) and Mayo, you might as well just give Evan or Nick Young more shots in the offense. I'd be looking bigger if you are talking about acquiring a wing scorer, not DeRozan or Mayo.

I haven't watched Mayo this season, so I'l defer to you guys, but I want to see what he looks like when his numbers come back to earth (we aren't pretending his .490 from the field and .590 from three are sustainable, right?) before deciding he's a top 5 SG.
Even if he has taken a meaningful leap, the only way we could afford him is if Bynum isn't coming back, in which case I'm not entirely sure what our chances are or what the point is.
