With Wilson probably coming back next year we arguably have the best set-up man/closer duo in baseball. And with our pitchers hopefully coming back to form, including Lincecum, runs will come at a premium next year.

Because he is the best offensive OFer in FA not named Hamilton..? Though Melky may be as good, but that's a whole different can of worms and looks like a waste of time to discuss

He also fits because Blanco's only viable starting position is as a center fielder.

You can get by with a Swisher/Blanco/Pence OF, not a Blanco/Bourn/Pence or Blanco/Pagan/Pence one.

What about LF? He can do a better job playing there.

Great point. He would be an excellent contingency plan for LF if/when Brown comes up to take CF responsibilities. LF is still not solidified, Pagan is still young, and he was a HUGE part of his team. I feel he improved daily, and his defense went from average to very good throughout the year. His bat can also be electric too. You don't let Pagan go unless financially it absolutely makes no sense. I know we can offer him a good contract that would be affordable to the team as well.

I'd offer Wilson a minor league contract and let him try and work his way back into the pen. We don't need him. Especially for big buck$.

Don't see how you would expect an unproven Brown to step in and fill Pagan's spot. Re-sign Pagan for anything but $tupid money.

There's no way we'd bring him back with a minor league contract. I would hope they could work out some deal with some incentives that could lead up to somewhere around his projected arbitration number before the year started.
